Scent Pûr makes extrait de parfum in Pakistan — the highest concentration of fragrance oil there is, and the reason our bottles are still working at the end of a long day when an eau de toilette gave up before lunch.
We started because buying perfume here was a bad deal. The imported names cost more than a week’s groceries. The affordable alternatives were eau de toilette sold at extrait prices, in bottles designed to look like something they were not. There was no honest middle — a serious fragrance, made properly, priced for the person actually buying it.
What we do differently
Every bottle ships with its own tester
This is the part we would ask you to notice. Fragrance behaves differently on different skin, and no description — ours included — can tell you how a scent will settle on you. So every bottle arrives with a matching tester. Wear it for a few days. If it is not right, the bottle goes back unopened within 15 days and you have lost nothing.
Most brands ask you to gamble on a sealed bottle. We would rather you were sure.
Extrait, not eau de toilette
Extrait de parfum carries a far higher share of fragrance oil than eau de parfum or eau de toilette. It costs more to make and it lasts longer on skin — a full working day, and considerably longer on a scarf or a collar. Everything we sell is extrait. We do not make a cheaper line and hope you will not read the label.
Two sizes, one fragrance
Grande is 100 ml, around 1,350 sprays — the bottle for your dresser. Scent Buddy is 40 ml, around 550 sprays, sized for a bag or a desk drawer. Same blend, same concentration. Only the bottle changes.
A cheaper way to find out
If you are choosing between several, the tester box is five fragrances for Rs. 1,500 — less than a third of a full bottle, and the fastest way to learn what you actually reach for.
How we sell

What the box is made of
We build the packaging to be worth keeping — and, when it isn’t kept, worth throwing away without feeling bad about it.
The caps are wood rather than plastic. The bottles are glass. The boxes are paper and left uncoated, because the thin plastic film that gives a printed carton its shine is also the thing that stops it being recycled.
Where plastic is still in the box
Two places, and we would rather name them than round the number down.
The first is inside the pump. The mechanism needs a plastic component to work; the rest of the pump is metal. We have not yet found an atomiser that performs without it, and a pump that fails is a bottle you cannot use.
The second, and by far the larger, is the shipping material. Parcels in Pakistan have to survive a journey that nothing lighter comes through intact, and we have not found an alternative that does the job. It is the single biggest piece of plastic in an order, we know it, and we are still looking.
What comes next
We are working on tucking a few seeds into every box, so that when the packaging has finished being packaging it has somewhere useful to go. It isn’t in your order yet. When it is, you’ll find it in the box without having to be told.
None of this is a claim to be the greenest anything. It is a list of the choices we have actually made, and the two we haven’t managed yet.
