Unisex Perfume in Pakistan: What It Means, What It Costs and What to Wear

7 min read

Fleur Blossom extrait de parfum, 100 ml and 40 ml bottles with their round Scent Pûr boxes

Type “unisex perfume in Pakistan” into Google and you get a wall of lists. Most of them sort perfumes into “his”, “hers” and “both” as if the liquid in the bottle knew who was wearing it. It doesn’t. We sell perfume, including a unisex range, so take this with that in mind: the label on the shelf matters far less than three things you can actually smell for yourself.

This guide explains what “unisex” really means, what it costs from four Pakistani brands as of 29 October 2026, and how to pick one that suits our heat, our offices and our wedding season.

The key insight: “unisex” describes the shelf, not the scent

No perfume material is male or female. Rose, oud, saffron and musk have been worn by men across South Asia for centuries in attars, while in Europe the same rose was marketed for decades as a “women’s” note. The gender on a bottle is a marketing decision about who the brand thinks will buy it.

When a brand calls something unisex, it usually means one of two things:

  • It sits in the middle of the notes. Fresh citrus, clean musk, soft woods, tea or amber. Nothing heavily sugary, nothing sharply “barbershop”.
  • It is built on materials both sexes already wear here. Oud, saffron, rose and amber are the obvious Pakistani examples.

So instead of asking “is this for men or women?”, ask three better questions:

  1. Which family is it? Fresh, floral, musky, amber, gourmand (sweet, edible notes) or oud.
  2. How far does it project? Close to the skin, arm’s length, or across the room.
  3. Is it a day or a night scent? In Pakistan’s heat this matters more than anything printed on the box.

Answer those and the gender question mostly answers itself.

What unisex perfume costs in Pakistan: four brands compared

We checked these prices on each brand’s own site (or, where noted, a stockist) on 29 October 2026. Prices change, so follow the links before you buy. Concentration matters here too: an extrait de parfum carries far more perfume oil than an eau de parfum (EDP), so price per ml is not a like-for-like comparison.

Where the others win, plainly:

  • Colish is the most ambitious of the four. Its extraits are built around local stories and materials, and if you want a niche, collector-style bottle, that is what Rs 25,000 buys.
  • THE NOTE has the cheapest way into a full bottle: Rs 1,699 for 15 ml. If you only want a small amount to carry, that is hard to beat.
  • J. has shops across the country, so you can smell before you buy without ordering anything online.

Our unisex extraits, by when you would wear them

Every price below is the live price on our site on 29 October 2026, for the 40 ml (Scent Buddy) and 100 ml (Grande) bottles. Notes, longevity and projection are from each product page.

Daytime and office: fresh, clean, close

  • Icy Brisk: mint, lavender and sea notes over musk, oakmoss and cedarwood. Sits close to the skin for 5–7 hours. The one to reach for in June. Rs 2,199 (40 ml) / Rs 4,799 (100 ml).
  • Fleur Blossom: citrus and peony, osmanthus and rose, on sandalwood and patchouli. Light and close, 6–8 hours. A floral plenty of men will happily wear. Rs 2,699 / Rs 4,999.
  • Musc Sedoso: violet and bergamot over jasmine, rose and lily, finishing on musk, vanilla and amber. Stays close but lasts 10–12 hours, which makes it a quiet office scent. Rs 2,999 / Rs 6,399.
  • Magnetic Charisma: mandarin, lemon and peach, then pepper, cedar and jasmine, on vanilla, tonka and sandalwood. Moderate projection, 7–9 hours. Rs 2,599 / Rs 4,999.

All-day versatile: something for either partner

  • Soul’s Journey: bergamot and orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine, on vanilla, white musk and cedarwood. 8–10 hours. Rs 2,699 / Rs 4,799.
  • Zerato: a bright lemon, rose and saffron opening on a base of amber wood, oud, vetiver and white musk that barely moves. Fresh at 9am, still there at 9pm. Rs 2,199 / Rs 4,699.
  • Perla Rossa: saffron and jasmine, amberwood and ambergris, fir resin and cedar. Strong projection, 10–12 hours, yet listed as a day scent because it stays airy. Rs 2,799 / Rs 5,499.

Evenings, dawats and weddings: warm and louder

  • Âmbar Errante: mandarin, pink pepper and bergamot over amber, jasmine and rose, on vanilla, cedarwood and musk. 8–10 hours, moderate. Rs 2,799 / Rs 5,799.
  • Aurélis: almond, coffee and bergamot, tuberose and jasmine sambac, tonka, cacao and vanilla. Sweet without being sugary, 10–12 hours. Rs 2,599 / Rs 4,599.
  • Oud de Pura: rose, saffron and cardamom, oud, sandalwood and jasmine, on amber, vanilla and patchouli. Strong; one or two sprays is enough. 10–12 hours. Rs 2,799 / Rs 5,599.

How to choose a unisex perfume for Pakistan

1. Start with the weather, not the gender

At 40°C, heat makes everything project more and sweet notes turn cloying. From April to September, lean fresh, citrus, tea or clean musk by day. Save amber, vanilla and oud for evenings and for November to February, when they have room to breathe.

2. Match projection to the room

Offices, cars and shared bedrooms need something that stays close. A wedding hall needs something that can be noticed over food, flowers and a few hundred other people. A “strong” rating is not better or worse; it is a tool for a particular room.

3. Test on your own skin, then on your partner’s

The same perfume can smell sweeter on one person and drier on another. This is the real reason couples end up sharing bottles: you find one that works on both of you. Don’t judge on a paper strip, and don’t judge in the first five minutes. Wear it for an afternoon. If you want to test several without buying full bottles, our build-your-own tester box is 5 perfumes for Rs 1,500, and our guide to tester boxes compares it with what other brands offer.

4. Buy the size you will finish

If one person is wearing it a few times a week, 40 ml is plenty. If two people are sharing it daily, the 100 ml usually works out cheaper per ml and saves you reordering in three months.

5. Apply it where it lasts

Pulse points and clothes hold scent longer than exposed skin in the sun. Our guide to applying perfume in Pakistan’s heat covers this in detail.

Where we sit

We are not the cheapest bottle in Pakistan and we are not the most artistic. THE NOTE will get you into a small bottle for less, and Colish makes more ambitious extraits at a much higher price. J. lets you walk into a shop and smell first.

What we do is extrait de parfum at 35–40% oil, in 40 ml and 100 ml, with a unisex range sorted by the smell rather than the customer. If you want a strong, long-lasting scent you can share with a partner, without paying niche prices, that is the gap we are trying to fill. If you are not sure, start with the tester box, not a full bottle.

FAQ

What does unisex perfume mean?

It means the brand has decided the scent suits anyone. Usually that means fresh, musky, woody, amber or oud notes rather than very sweet or very sharp ones. The perfume itself has no gender.

Can men wear floral perfumes in Pakistan?

Yes. Rose and jasmine are traditional in South Asian attars worn by men. Florals with woods or musk underneath, such as Fleur Blossom or Soul’s Journey, sit comfortably on most people.

How much does a good unisex perfume cost in Pakistan?

From the brands we checked on 29 October 2026: Rs 1,699 for 15 ml at THE NOTE, Rs 2,199 to Rs 2,999 for 40 ml of the unisex extraits above, Rs 6,500 for a 100 ml J. Janan EDP, and Rs 25,000 for a 100 ml Colish extrait.

Which unisex perfume lasts longest in the heat?

Look for extrait de parfum with amber, oud, musk or woods in the base. Of ours, Oud de Pura, Aurélis and Musc Sedoso are each rated at 10–12 hours.

Is unisex perfume a good gift for a couple?

It can be, as long as you pick a versatile family: clean musk, soft amber or a fresh citrus. If you don’t know their taste, a tester box is the safer gift.

Is a unisex perfume weaker than a men’s or women’s perfume?

No. Strength depends on concentration and the notes, not the label. A unisex extrait de parfum will usually outlast a “men’s” eau de toilette.
