Fresh fruity floral fragrance with bergamot, pear, and green apple, blended with jasmine, rose

You leave home at 8, sit in traffic with the window down, then spend nine hours in an air-conditioned room with the same twelve people. Whatever you sprayed at the door has to survive the heat, then behave itself in a closed space where nobody chose to smell it. That is the office perfume problem in Pakistan, and it is different from choosing something for a wedding or a dinner.
We sell perfume, so read this knowing that. We have tried to write the guide we would want if we were buying, including where other brands are the better choice.
Most people shop for office perfume by asking “how long does it last?” The better question is “how far does it reach?” A scent that fills a meeting room for the first two hours and then vanishes is worse at work than one that sits about an arm’s length from you all day.
Two things control that radius: how much you spray, and what the perfume is made of. Fresh citrus, green and soft musk compositions tend to stay close to the skin. Sweet vanilla, heavy oud and loud amber tend to travel, especially in the first hour. In a cold, closed AC room, that travel is what people notice, and not always kindly.
This is where concentration helps rather than hurts. An extrait de parfum like ours (35–40% perfume oil) needs fewer sprays to last, so two or three sprays of a fresh extrait can outlast eight sprays of a light body spray without ever announcing itself across the room. “Strong” and “loud” are not the same thing. If your perfume fades by lunch, our guide on why perfume doesn’t last covers the usual reasons.
We checked these prices on 24 October 2026. Sizes and prices change, so follow the links before you buy. Price per ml is our own arithmetic, rounded.
| Brand and perfume | Type | Size | Price | Per ml | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| THE NOTE Intenso (source) | Extrait | 15 ml / 50 ml | Rs 1,699 / Rs 4,349 | Rs 113 / Rs 87 | Fresh woody; listed as sold out on the day we checked |
| THE NOTE Citron (source) | Extrait | 15 ml / 50 ml | Rs 1,649 / Rs 4,249 | Rs 110 / Rs 85 | Citrus; listed as sold out on the day we checked |
| J. Zarar Blu, via PerfumeDaddy (source) | EDP | 100 ml | Rs 5,200 | Rs 52 | Easy to smell in person at J. outlets |
| Colish Queen of Hearts (source) | EDP | 100 ml | Rs 7,800 | Rs 78 | Colish also sells an Extrait Discovery Set at Rs 3,000 |
| Scent Pûr Vackra | Extrait | 40 ml / 100 ml | Rs 2,199 / Rs 4,899 | Rs 55 / Rs 49 | Fresh citrus; matching tester with every bottle |
| Scent Pûr Kesem d’Or | Extrait | 40 ml / 100 ml | Rs 2,499 / Rs 4,799 | Rs 62.5 / Rs 48 | Clean grapefruit, ginger and musk |
A few honest readings of that table. THE NOTE’s 15 ml bottles are the cheapest way into a decent extrait if you only want a small amount; our smallest bottle is 40 ml. J. wins on convenience: there are outlets in most cities, so you can smell before you buy, and its EDPs are fairly priced per ml. Colish sits at a higher price point, and its Rs 25,000 extraits are a different category from ours. Where we come out well is price per ml for an extrait in a full-size bottle. You don’t need to memorise notes. Think in four families.
Fresh citrus and green. The safest office choice. Lemon, bergamot, grapefruit, green tea and herbs read as “clean” to almost everyone. The trade-off: citrus is the most volatile part of any perfume, so the bright opening fades first in the heat. Look for citrus sitting on a woody or musky base, which is what carries it into the afternoon.
Soft musk and skin scents. Very good for close-quarters offices. They wear close, smell like freshly washed fabric or warm skin, and rarely bother anyone.
Light woods and aromatics. Lavender, cedar, vetiver and a little leather suit formal settings: client meetings, banks, legal offices. They feel serious without being heavy.
Oud, heavy amber, sweet vanilla and gourmand. Wonderful in the evening, at a mehndi or in winter. At a desk in a sealed AC room, they are the most likely to draw complaints. If you love oud, one light spray under your shirt is fine; save the full dose for after work.
These are the scents we would point a colleague towards. Every bottle is an extrait, every one ships with a matching tester, and delivery is free. All prices are as listed on our site on 24 October 2026.
We are not the cheapest bottle on the shelf, and we are not a boutique luxury house. Our perfumes are blended and bottled in Pakistan as extraits at 35–40% oil, which is why two or three sprays are enough for a workday; we state 10–12 hours on the skin. Our 40 ml “Scent Buddy” (about 550 sprays) and 100 ml “Grande” (about 1,350 sprays) cost from Rs 2,199 and from Rs 4,399 respectively among the office picks above.
What we can’t offer is a shop down the road where you can smell everything first. Our answer to that is the tester box. The Office Tester Box gives you five perfumes, including Magnetic Charisma and Soul’s Journey, for Rs 1,500. Or build your own tester box of any five for the same Rs 1,500. Wear one a day for a working week, notice which one nobody complains about and you still like at 5 pm, then buy that bottle.
With an extrait, two or three: chest and the back of the neck, under clothing if you can. With an EDP, three or four. If a colleague can smell you from across the desk in the first hour, use one fewer.
A light oud worn close can be fine, especially in winter. Heavy, sweet or smoky oud in a closed AC room is the most common source of complaints. Keep it for evenings, Jummah or events.
At three sprays a day, a 40 ml bottle (about 550 sprays) covers about 180 workdays (roughly eight months of five-day weeks), and a 100 ml (about 1,350 sprays) well over a year. If you are unsure about the scent, start with 40 ml or a tester box.
Not if you use fewer sprays. Extrait has more oil and less alcohol, so it tends to sit closer to the skin than a heavily sprayed lighter perfume. Choose a fresh or musky one and keep the dose low.
Citrus or green scents built on a musk, vetiver or cedar base. The base notes carry the scent through the afternoon while the overall radius stays small.
Yes. Our Office Tester Box is Rs 1,500 for five perfumes, and you can build your own box of five for the same price. Every full bottle also ships with its matching tester.
